LARRY (LOWEI) HAN, Former President OF FLORIDA COLLEGE OF INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE
Larry (Lowei) Han, originates from Taipei, Taiwan, with a long-standing family tradition of practicing in Traditional Chinese Medicine and in conjunction with his mother; Dr. Chiang-Ling Han has been caring for the people of Jacksonville and Orange Park at the Han’s family Acupuncture Treatment Center since 1976.
Larry Han is the President of Florida College of Integrative Medicine where in 1996, under his leadership, began accreditation procedures to become accredited on a national level, and became the first Traditional Chinese Medicine School in the Southeast Region to receive full accreditation from the Department of Education.
He then continued to move the school forward to become the first licensed College in Traditional Chinese Medicine by the State of Florida to be able to grant a Bachelors Degree of Professional Health Studies and the Masters Degree of Oriental Medicine.
In 1998-2006, Larry Han studied under Professor Gao Wei-Bin of Hei-Long-Jiang University of TCM, Harbin, China and has mastered a unique application of acupuncture and herbal medicine in the treatment of various neurological disorders. Larry Han is the English co-author and instructor of Modern Acupuncture Therapy for Neurological Disorders, and the book, Tension Point Therapy, where treatment extensively involves treating supportive and compensative injured muscles. He practices the treatment of muscular disorders with the application of this unique treatment method.
Larry Han is currently serving as the President of Florida College of Integrative Medicine, as well as a board member on the Board of Directors for FCIM. He frequently gives Seminars and lectures on Neuro-Acupuncture and TPT to practitioners and leaders in the field of Acupuncture for Professional TCM Organizations and colleges in the U.S., Canada, and Taiwan.
